About Ian

Ian Braesch is an interactive composer from the East Coast of the US.
He grew up in the metal and hardcore world, where the point of music and composing was to just bring raw emotion to the table, and he tries to bring all of that and more into the game audio world.

His real passion lies in storytelling through audio. Ian is strongly motivated by Keiichi Okabe and Christopher Larkin from their work on nieR franchise and Hollow Knight, as well as DC progressive metal band Periphery, with their guitarists Misha Mansoor and Jake Bowen shaping his compositional style greatly.

Ian studied Video Game and Interactive Scoring at Berklee College of Music in Boston MA, learning everything he could about composition, sound design, middleware, programming, and working in the industry. He couldn’t be more excited to go into the world and make a name for himself in the game audio world!
